Provide surveying services for KLJ projects in a timely, accurate, and cost effective manner.
· Provide guidance to Survey Technician and Surveyor I staff members
· Gather field data under direction of a Surveyor IV
· Provide quality control and quality assurance by reviewing work
· Ensure compliance with KLJ safety standards
· Knowledgeable about survey methodology and equipment and competent in its use
· Provide oral or written communication and direction and carry out instruction when given
· Survey to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, mining or other surveying related purposes.
· Construction staking, planning, reports, maps, plats, deeds, local geography, physical evidence, legal descriptions, and research
· Instruct, train, and mentor crew members
· Adhere to project budget and schedule
· Effectively deal with difficult situations and confrontation both internally and externally
· High School diploma or GED plus five years of experience; or
· Associates Degree plus two years of experience; or
· Bachelor’s Degree plus one year of experience
· Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate motorized vehicles
· An LSI certification is preferred
· Construction staking experience
Hours and Travel
This position requires the individual work 40+ hours per week with 95% of the time spent in the field and 5% in the office.

· Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds
